Montessori School of Alexandria provides its families with the opportunity to sign up their children for activities such as:
- Private Piano Lessons
These activities begin the first week in October. A notice is sent home in September with the list of fees.
This program has been designed to help parents manage their time. These activities are beneficial not only for your child but for the entire family. Our skilled instructors work with your child at the MSA school. This gives the family some much needed rest and relaxation. We can appreciate the home life and how it needs balance.
Dawn MacLear is our gymnastics instructor at Montessori School of Alexandria. Dawn studied ballet from the time she could walk. She is especially well versed on sorting left form right in her classes (this correlates with increased test scores later on in life). Other activities she teachers increase bone density, increases circulation, and brings the children’s coordination to a higher level. Dawn was featured in several magazines in the late 90s through the early 2000s. Some of them are USA Today, Redbook, Cooking Light among others. Health magazine nominated her as one of the top 5 “Fitness Person” of the year. When you sign up for these extracurricular activities, please note that a minimum of 8 students is needed in order to it happen. These activities have been part of MSA since its inception and were instituted in the quest of helping families from spending their weekend taking children to classes or from missing home activities after school.
